The Marianne Early Childhood Center was built to commemorate Marianne |
(niece of the family that donated the building)
Marianne was only 27 years old when she was killed in a tragic road accident that was caused by a heroin addict.
Through the Marianne Early Childhood Center, she will continue to live in our hearts forever…

Marianne’s Early Childhood and Family Center in Kiryat Gat was founded as a non-profit Organization in 1992 with the aim of developing and advancing programs for children aged 0-9, their parents, and professionals in the field, according to the needs of each target group.
The Center is one of the first, largest and highest quality centers in Israel, providing services to thousands of children, parents and professionals who reside in the town and the surrounding regions, and integrating veteran and new immigrant populations.
The goals of the Centre are to create equal opportunities, narrow gaps and develop the potential of each individual. The guiding principal of the Center is that the earlier we invest in our children the higher the chances are of helping them reach achievements and develop their potential in the most optimal manner. |
A special building was designated for this purpose that incorporates a variety of activities and services under one roof:
- A Child Development Unit – identifies and prevents developmental problems and provides therapeutic programs through a multi-disciplinary paramedical team.
- A Rehabilitative framework for children with developmental problems.
- Center for Improvement of Learning Skills (MASKAL): remedial teaching and preparation for 1st grade.
- Unique educational frameworks: day care centers, afternoon frameworks, Kat Gans and holiday frameworks.
- Parent training and counseling services: workshops and lectures, home guidance, support center for women after child birth and development and empowerment of volunteers and parents.
- Enrichment and Community Programs: afternoon activity center for parents and children, enrichment for parents of children aged 0-3 and music education in the municipal kindergartens.
- Development of human resources for professionals working with young children: pedagogical center for teachers, training and workshops for managers of the Day Care Centers, teachers and assistants and professional courses for teachers.
- Special programs with partner bodies: educational programs, enrichment and therapy for children and parents from the Ethiopian community, advancement of children at risk.
